I’m Jon Mead. I run Professional Services and Europe at Pythian, a data and AI company. I live in Brighton, UK.

Most of what I think about, day to day, is how organisations (either my own or clients I work with) can use data, analytics and AI effectively. The technical side of that is data governance, data platforms, and the AI built on top. The harder side is people, judgement, and the gap between what a deck says and what gets built.

I write here from time to time. The pieces tend to start as something I’ve been turning over in my head and end up as something I’d be happy to send a colleague.

Outside work I can be found cycling and running. On Strava as jonmead.
